Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join us in delivering excellent results for our Federal Government clients. You will be essential to the success of this project as you and your team develop new, innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Your problem-solving ability, analytical mind, and drive to exceed expectations will lead you to excel in this role.


Overview


All work will be performed at the NIH Offices located at HR SAID offices in Rockville, MD. It is an on-site position. You will be required to hold a security clearance. Specifically, Level 1C: Non Sensitive (Requires Suitability Determination with an NACI).


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain new or existing data integration and transformation solutions (i.e. ETLs) using SQL Server 2008R2 (or higher) Integration Services (SSIS);
  • Develop and maintain new or existing multidimensional structures that contain data aggregated from many data sources for data mining and predictive/forecasting modules using SQL Server 2008R2 (or higher) Analysis Services (SSAS) and industry-standard data mining algorithms;
  • Develop 508 compliant solutions in SMARTHR.
  • Develop and deliver analytics solutions through the Microsoft Office framework;
  • Perform activities and documentation as applicable in accordance with methodologies employed at HR SAID such as (but not limited to) Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Rapid Application Development, Agile Development;
  • Develop and maintain new or existing ad-hoc visualization modules using SQL Server 2008R2 (or higher) Reporting Services (SSRS) and PowerView (2012);
  • Develop and maintain new or existing advanced database components using ADO, JSO, TSQL for SQL Server Databases (2008R2 or higher);
  • Develop and maintain new or existing collaboration capabilities by leveraging Web 2.0 components such as (but not limited to) Yammer, Twitter, jabber, RSS Feeds, Blogs, Wikis, Federated Search;
  • Develop and maintain new or existing mobile capabilities for securely and efficiently disseminating information to mobile devices such as Blackberry, iPhone, Android, and tablets such as iPad;
  • Provide database, SQL and reporting support across the Microsoft Suite of tools including (but not limited to) Sharepoint, Azure Machine Learning, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, PowerView, PowerBI, etc;
  • Develop and maintain new or existing ASP.NET modules using JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, ASP.NET (4.0 or higher - Visual Basic is preferred);
  • Resolve Helpdesk support tier 2 tickets dealing with software bugs or other technical issues related to area of expertise; and
  • Develop and maintain new or existing online analytical processing (OLAP) or cubes solutions for new business intelligence modules using SQL Server 2008R2 (or higher) Analysis Services (SSAS);


Minimum Skills And Experience Requirements Or Equivalent


  • Experience designing, refining and managing 508 compliant web-based solutions;
  • Experience programming web-applications for mobile consumption;
  • Ability to estimate level of effort for provided requirements;
  • Experience designing, refining, and managing analytical components such as cubes using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) 2008R2 or higher; and industry-standard data mining algorithms;
  • Experience programming ASP.NET applications with Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework and Visual Basic.NET using Visual Studio 2010 (or higher);
  • Deep understanding and experience with Tableau is required
  • Experience designing, refining, managing, and integrating PowerView and PowerBI components into existing .NET and/or SharePoint environments using Microsoft SQL Server 2012;
  • Experience responding to customer-related inquiries and helpdesk support ticket escalation.
  • Experience performing advanced database administration, management, and security with SQL Database 2008R2 or higher;
  • Experience developing Sharepoint solutions
  • Experience designing, refining, and managing reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2008 SR2 or higher;
  • Ability to adhere to methodologies used by HR SAID including, but not limited to Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Rapid Application Development, and Agile Development;
  • Ability to present / demonstrate product or ideas to a group of people;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, Team-oriented environment with multiple priorities that shift frequently;
  • Experience with Windows 2008 64bit server or higher;
  • Experience integrating applications to Single Sign-On using CA Site-Minder;
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance requirements; and
  • Experience developing complex TSQL queries, tables, views, functions, stored procedures, indexes, and trigger using Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 or higher;
  • Ability to create system requirements documentation;
  • Experience using IIS 6 or higher;
  • Experience designing, refining, and managing integration components such as ETLs using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2008R2 or higher; SQL Server 2008R2 (or higher) Reporting Services (SSRS) and PowerView (2012); Power BI; Machine Learning
  • Experience programming and integrating .NET components with MS SharePoint;

  • Develop and maintain new or existing data integration and transformation solutions (i.e. ETLs)
  • Experience integrating applications to Single Sign-On
  • Tableau Server Experience: Configuration, Administration, Tuning & Performance , Data Connections, APIs
  • R or Python Programming Languages Experience (R preferred)
  • HR business acumen (nice to have)
  • Areas in addition to the SOW the Customer is seeking:
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Objects (nVision)
  • Competencies in Data Warehouse Principals
  • Tableau Desktop & Tableau Prep Experience: Advanced Data Visualizations, including custom visualizations,Advanced Data Modeling Experience - including data extraction, transformation and load (ETL) for OLAP and OLTP
