Job Description
We are seeking a Data Analyst who will support the office of Assessment and Analysis, which focuses on the undergraduate population in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, the Whiting School of Engineering and the Peabody Conservatory. The incumbent will analyze student survey data and communicate results. The incumbent will also help to develop and support a communication strategy for the office, which will include effective methods for communicating survey results and the undergraduate student experience to university faculty, staff, and students.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Analysis of undergraduate student survey data, including qualitative analysis of survey comments, and creating reports, dashboards, and infographics based on the results.
Proofread and edit reports and other products of office to attain consistency of format.
Regular outreach to offices to learn about upcoming surveys scheduled for the academic year; keep the shared student survey calendar up to date.
Manage the Hop to It campaign, a set of regularly updated flyers that inform students how some of their survey feedback is used.
Assist with the development of a detailed communication strategy and plan for the office.
Maintain office website and produce materials in coordination with the divisional communications team.
Other duties as assigned.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to apply tact and good judgment in dealing with all levels of university staff, administrators, faculty, and students.
Experience using Tableau, Qualtrics, and WordPress.
Experience using Excel, including experience using formulas and pivot tables.
Ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Politically aware and able to maintain confidentiality.
Track record of collaboration with colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
Three years of related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Some experience in survey research, data intensive research or reporting is desirable.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
