The Business Banking (BB) Planning & Analysis (P&A) team directly supports the BB CFO. The team provides financial analyses and perspective to senior management, which support decision-making. The team manages traditional financial planning workstreams, such as the monthly forecast process, quarterly earnings reporting, and annual budget and capital stress testing analytics.


In addition, in partnership with strategy and finance teams across the business, the BB P&A team leads the financial analytics for monthly business review materials for meetings with both firmwide and Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) leadership teams. The team also contributes to analyses that lead to public disclosure associated with the business' strategy, financial performance, and industry trends for the Firm's presentations at Investor Day and industry conferences.


One of the key initiatives across the broader CCB Finance organization is to leverage dashboards to deliver real-time insights to the leadership team. The BB P&A team helps to craft the team's reporting strategy and execute on data visualization and automation initiatives.


Job Responsibilities


  • Enhance consistency and efficiency across existing processes and reporting to meet changing needs of the business
  • Coordinate materials for leadership team meetings (e.g., BB CEO staff and senior leaders meetings) and external forums (e.g., Investor Day and industry conferences)
  • Drive change, including defining dashboard requirements
  • Distill and refine financial storytelling and variance analysis
  • Help with weekly/monthly financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, as well as budget and capital stress testing analytics, controls governance, and project planning
  • Create ad-hoc analytics and presentations for senior management (e.g., Leadership Offsites; Town Hall presentations; competitor analysis)


Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities


  • 6+ years professional experience in handling large amount of data, analyzing P&L and balance sheet drivers preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) and Essbase
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools is an advantage (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau)
  • Previous experience in a finance / planning role in banking or financial services strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field

Candidates must be able to physically work in our New York, NY office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
