As a Benefit Customer Service Representative, you'll play a crucial role in assisting our valued client members with their enrollment process and updates to their health care and pension plans. At the start, you'll be focused on one client, but with dedication and hard work, you'll have the opportunity to be cross-trained on multiple clients, broadening your skill set. Whether you're on the phone, conducting webchat conversations, or responding to emails, our professional and supportive environment in well-appointed buildings will recognize your dedication and commitment.
We understand the importance of work-life balance, and that's why we offer flexible shifts. During our busy season, you'll work a 40-hour week, with the potential for overtime when required. During the off-season, your hours may fluctuate between 32 to 40 hours, depending on client needs. The best part? No weekend shifts! You'll enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule, with the possibility of some flexibility in specific west coast roles.
This is a remote role, but you must be local to participate in onsite equipment pickup on day one and attend meetings or major projects as required. As a member of our team, you'll thrive in building rapport with customers, responding to their inquiries in a compassionate and respectful manner. Your ability to tailor your customer service approach to various communication styles and personalities will be appreciated, as you navigate even the most challenging calls with professionalism and diplomacy.
Your role will involve translating complex health, welfare, and pension terms into simple explanations and instructions that our customers can easily understand and act upon. While maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data security requirements, you'll utilize your expertise to read and understand clients' plan documents and online knowledgebase tools, effectively addressing immediate requests and anticipating future member needs.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you'll need a High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience in Customer Service or Call Center roles is highly desirable and will be considered favorably. Additionally, we welcome English-speaking candidates or those who are bilingual in Spanish or French, offering a special incentive of .75 cents more per hour for full fluency in Spanish or French.
