Job Description
The Platform team creates the technology that enables Spotify to learn quickly and scale easily, enabling rapid growth in our users and our business around the globe. Interested in driving Spotify’s long term investment in Backstage from a Business Strategy & Operations perspective? We are seeking a leader to join a fast paced team of engineers, marketers, business developers, and product managers (like a small startup) to do just that!


We’re hoping to find a curious, creative, motivated, and analytical problem solver who also understands how to operationalize and implement their ideas cross-functionally. We've done a lot already, and we have no plans of slowing down. This is an exciting opportunity to work on bold, innovative projects and help develop the future of Backstage!


What You'll Do


  • Establish operational success metrics, targets, and outcomes to inform product prioritization and delivery
  • Support new product launches by researching and analyzing growth and market expansion opportunities (research, opportunity sizing, pricing, investment needs)
  • Build new processes and overhaul existing across revenue & business operations
  • Drive cross-functional alignment in strategy and planning across Finance, Sales, and the R&D leadership team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate new opportunities
  • Lead pilot tests, partnerships, and other corporate development activities to drive our long-term strategic priorities
  • Facilitate and manage discussions with leaders and key cross-functional team members across the company to communicate strategic plans, outline goals and progress, and gather input and approvals
  • Build out sales productivity framework to drive performance measurement and bring standardization to sales activities


Who You Are


  • Bias towards action and are able to thrive in a constantly evolving environment
  • Strategic problem-solver, with a track record of leading high-impact key initiatives, and enjoys bridging the gap between strategy and execution
  • Curious self-starter with a demonstrated ability to keep projects moving and deliver phenomenal results on time without too much oversight
  • Experience developing relationships and working collaboratively with multiple cross-functional partners
  • Ability to drive discussions and presentations at all levels of the organization
  • Thrive in entrepreneurial settings where creativity and grit are required
  • Experience in a highly strategic and analytical role ideally at a high-growth technology company (bonus for experience in management consulting or investment banking)
  • Proven quantitative and qualitative skills — business modeling in particular — with a strong ability to analyze and evaluate opportunities and ask the right questions to frame analyses
  • Possess excellent communication skills and are adept at evangelizing project goals across a variety of different stakeholders and partners
