Job Description
About The Team

The Strategy & Operations Consumer Growth team owns the DoorDash in-app experience and how consumers explore DoorDash. Our mission is to help DoorDash consumers connect with their communities and discover “the best in their neighborhood”. Specifically, the Social Products team designs and executes on key initiatives to enhance how DoorDash users can order with friends & family and add recommendations for stores & items on DoorDash.

About The Role

In this role, you will work with product, engineering, and design partners on solving key problems for DoorDash consumers by developing and testing data-driven hypotheses, generating new product ideas, and improving the DoorDash consumer experience.

You will own projects from hypothesis to implementation to results and will get to the lowest level of detail in order to execute on high-impact experiments. The results of your work will influence business decisions, our consumer and product strategies, and the future of the DoorDash consumer app.

You will report into the General Manager of our Social Products team, within the Consumer Strategy & Operations organization.

Projects you may work on include helping users discover the best dishes on DoorDash, gifting on DoorDash, product feature go-to-market, etc. You will also be responsible for creating & implementing efficient processes for working cross functionally with our strategic partners.

You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…

  • Influence – Partner with other teams - Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Analytics - to drive cross-functional and go-to-market execution
  • Build – Design and launch new initiatives from the ground up
  • Analyze – Analyze experiment results to inform business decisions and future experiments
  • Strategize – Shape our team’s strategy and help decide "what we should do next"

We're Excited About You Because…

  • You’re a collaborator – You are an excellent communicator and eager to build relationships with teammates and cross-functional partners
  • You’re a determined operator – You're always up for a challenge and comfortable seeing things all the way through
  • You’re a go-getter – You have a bias towards action, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
  • You have 1+ years of working experience
  • You're creative – You love thinking about new problems, and don't resort to a "this is how it's always been done" thinking.

DoorDash is growing rapidly and changing constantly, which gives our team members the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers. We're committed to supporting employees’ happiness, healthiness, and overall well-being by providing comprehensive benefits and perks including premium healthcare, wellness expense reimbursement, paid parental leave and more.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel.

Above and beyond discrimination and harassment based on “protected categories,” we also strive to prevent other subtler forms of inappropriate behavior (i.e., stereotyping) from ever gaining a foothold in our office. Whether blatant or hidden, barriers to success have no place at DoorDash. We value a diverse workforce – people who identify as women, non-binary or gender non-conforming, LGBTQIA+, American Indian or Native Alaskan, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, differently-abled, caretakers and parents, and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Thank you to the Level Playing Field Institute for this statement of non-discrimination.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation.
