As Associate Marketing Counsel, you will advise the company on legal issues related to marketing and other communications, including but not limited to email communications, digital advertisements, editorial content, and landing pages. You will work closely with members of the Legal & Compliance team and cross-functional teams across the organization. The role requires a self-motivated and highly collaborative individual who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage a high volume of work while being able to maintain perspective and prioritize the work according to company goals
- Develop and improve company-wide policies, processes, and training materials
- You will engage in creative problem solving and making recommendations to help achieve the business’s goals
- Review advertising and other promotional communications materials for legal and regulatory issues

What We Expect:
- Direct experience advising clients
- Member of at least one state Bar
- JD from accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Experience working on legal issues for financial services or regulated industries is a plus.
- Tech sector and/or digital marketing/communications experience is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience at a law firm or as in-house Attorney
Pay Transparency Notice: Credit Karma’s mission of championing financial progress for all starts from within. That’s why we implemented role-based compensation, which ensures people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only. It’s all part of a more comprehensive DEI strategy that helps level the playing field. The base salary range for this role is $137,500 to $184,000, plus equity and benefits.
