Job Description
Overview:
This Associate General Counsel role provides legal advice and counsel in the areas of, privacy, sourcing contracts, data integrity, cyber, innovation, managed care contracting and pharmacy (including 340(b) pricing) throughout Novant Health. This role works closely with all components of the privacy office as well as supporting Novant Health’s sourcing team with vendor agreements.,. This role also supports the intellectual property and innovation efforts within the system. The ideal candidate has a blend of regulatory and transactional experience. This role reports and takes direction from the Senior Director and Assistant General Counsel over compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree, Required. Undergraduate degree from a recognized college or university Juris Doctorate, Required. Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school, required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience: At least five years of Experience in the Practice of Law, required. Previous experience in law firm and a healthcare setting, preferred.
  • Ability to handle unusual, demanding and unrelated tasks, supervise and develop others in their performance.
  • Speed to Market: Effectively works in a fast-paced work environment to deliver results.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Judgment: Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Licensure/certification: Admission to the bar of at least one state or the District of Columbia, required.
