About this role
Data Platform & Solutions ensures that all portfolio information vital to the investment management process is complete, accurate, timely and effectively controlled using the latest technology and tools. We provide data services and solutions in support of BlackRock and Aladdin clients.
The Investment Solutions team within Data & AI is responsible for driving alignment and transparency with the firm’s Internal and external stakeholders to improve the interaction with the data platform. This role will work directly with BlackRock portfolio and risk managers to add value to the overall investment management process.
Responsibilities

• Partner with colleagues in Data Platform & Solutions and to solve problems for the problem clients
• Use Python and ALADDIN integrated tools to set up analytic market data functionality for market data and QC purposes
• Engage with portfolio and risk managers to gain deep understanding of the business's investment strategies and data needs
• Build knowledge of risk and investment management practices
• Help Data & AI to innovate through collaborative projects
• Perform analysis of P&L and Risk

Knowledge/Experience

• High level attention to detail
• Knowledge of Aladdin is a plus
• Proven track of practical Python applications
• Strong teamwork and time management skills and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability in financial services with P/L experience in Product Control or Middle Office roles
• Proven record of delivering on major projects to key partners
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field is desired

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $109,250 - $130,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
