Associate Graphic Designer - Magazine Design

Position Overview:

As an Associate Graphic Designer specializing in magazine design, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our publications to life. You will work closely with our design team, editors, and photographers to create visually stunning layouts, captivating covers, and engaging graphics that enhance the overall reading experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate graphic designer with a strong eye for detail and a flair for creativity to contribute to the success of our publications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-press preparation, including file optimization and color management.
• Edit and retouch images to enhance the visual impact and maintain quality standards.
• Create original illustrations, infographics, and other visual assets to support editorial content.
• Work within tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Conduct thorough research and stay up-to-date with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve the quality of our designs.
• Collaborate with the design team, editors, and photographers to conceptualize and execute visually appealing magazine layouts, covers, and graphics.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with pre-press processes and print production is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong portfolio of previous design work
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
• Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design software.
