Associate Designer, Rtw Jobs

Summary: This candidate will support the design team in the development and execution of RTW. The role requires a candidate that can identify business opportunities through a creative and brand appropriate lens. This candidate will liaise with product development, merchandising, tech, and production to ensure a cohesive and structured process from concept to customer. This candidate will be responsible for designing seasonal product that is in line with all business targets.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage all communication between Design, Tech and the atelier to ensure efficient workflow
• Attend all design meetings, take detailed notes and ensure all changes are implemented and communicated cross functionally
• Create detailed tech packs to be passed to the Tech Design team for our inhouse styles
• Partner with the design team to research and build mood boards for each season
• Create detailed tech packs to be launched in-house with the atelier
• Attend all necessary production fittings
• Work on individual concepts and design for specific groups in both Tby and Collection
• Update all design boards and keep detailed records
• Update all sketches as needed throughout the season
• Assist senior designer and design team with mock ups, fabric trials, photoshops and sketching

Requirements:

• Detail oriented, organized and the ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• 2 – 3+ years of experience in the industry designing womenswear
• Present strong critical thinking skills in order to appropriately problem solve design decisions
• Bachelor’s Degree

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $70,000 to $80,000, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
