Associate, Corporate Credit - Technology

Apollo is seeking an Associate to join its Global Corporate Credit investment team on the Technology vertical. The candidate will work as part of the Corporate Credit team on all stages of the investment process and will focus on new and existing investments across all sub-sectors of technology such as software, tech hardware, and semiconductors. The investment professional will work on credit opportunities spanning from performing loans/bonds to special situations credit opportunities including private credit. The Associate will contribute to various activities including initial diligence and investment committee process to monitoring and reporting to support PMs across the Apollo Credit platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a point person on the team to conduct exploratory research and perform analytics on potential investment opportunities
• Work with the sector team to develop investment committee memoranda, materials for senior team members, and ad hoc projects including but not limited to portfolio monitoring, reporting and investor requests
• Partner with senior industry head to provide analytical and project support for all investment related activities including new issues, secondary and portfolio monitoring
• Daily responsibilities include modeling, quantitative financial analysis, financial and business due diligence, valuation analysis, credit agreement review, and quarterly reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interest in credit investing
• Specific experience and interest in the technology and software sector is preferred, but not required
• 2-5 years of investment banking and capital markets experience (i.e. Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, Restructuring) or buy-side credit investing experience
• A high degree of maturity, a strong work ethic, and an eager to learn attitude
• Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills (top tier Excel and Power Point skills are a must)
• Nimble and flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required

Pay Range

175,000-200,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
