As the Biospecimen Project Manager, you will be the centralized point of contact to drive biospecimen lifecycle management and resulting analytical data from nonclinical and clinical studies.
What will you do?
· Drive biospecimen lifecycle management from sample receipt to analysis and final disposition
· Manage data lifecycle from central and analytical labs to data management
· Review status of specimens received and completeness of data
· Ensure accurate specimen metadata and work with study team to resolve sample metadata discrepancies
· Participate in study team meetings and communicate study specimen updates to client groups and stakeholders
· Adhere to client policies and Standard Operating Procedures
· Review clinical study protocols and service providers’ scope of work documents
· for sample handling and processing details
· Set up study and electronic protocol in LIMS
· Ensure that required specimens are resulted and data transfer is complete for database locks
· Conduct end-of-study activities, including study correspondence archival
· Support Biomarker Project Managers with biomarker sample lifecycle activities
What will you bring to the table?
· BA/BS in life sciences, medical technology, or related field, required
· 1 - 3 years of client facing biospecimen lifecycle management from collection to disposition, required
· 1-2 years project management experience, required
· Experience with StarLIMS or other LIMS-based systems, required
· Understanding of transaction-based inventory and data management systems as well as clinical trial processes
· Understanding of ICH, GCP, GLP, and local regulations
· Strong planning, organizational, time management, high attention to detail and multitasking skills
· Excel experience required, macro and template building knowledge desired
Working Conditions/Physical Demands, Travel, etc
· 100% remote working environment, no travel required
· Ability to work and/or be available for meetings during the Pacific Time core working hours of 9am – 5pm
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
