Title:Associate Accountant

Location:Oakland, CA (onsite)

Contract: 3 Month

The Associate Accountant is responsible for performing entry to mid-level accounting functions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and statutory requirements. In addition, this role will participate in monthly close activities and prepare internal and external reports.

Area of focus: Unclaimed Property

This role is heavily focused on Clerical Support and Customer Service:

Clearing Mailbox messages

Clearing back-log of Voicemail messages (contacting caller to resolve)

Scanning Documents

Uploading Templates

Creating PDF Documents

Skills/Experience

Minimum Qualifications

Associate/Bachelors degree

Additional Experience

Associate/Bachelors degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience, required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Good Organizational, Time Management Skills And Multi-tasking Abilities.

Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Oracle Financial or ERP software experience preferred.

Effectively engage and communicate across functions and levels in the organization
