About The Team You Are Joining
Reporting and partnering with the Regional Head, People Performance and Development, Americas, the successful candidate will become a trusted business partner who will participate and collaborate in the edification of the people / employee experience efforts, in alignment with the corporate and regional strategic objectives. This is a hands-on role for a curious, proactive, and technologically savvy human capital generalist who will interact with all employees in the Americas Region and across the IATA Global Network.
What Your Day Would Be Like
Collaborate, grow, and excel in the areas of talent acquisition and mobility, employee onboarding and employee development, administration of employee benefits, employee relations, DE&I initiatives to include change management, internal communication, payroll coordination, and internal events.
The success of the ideal candidate will be determined as follows:
  • Actively partakes in the talent acquisition processes, sourcing, screening, interviewing, vetting, shortlisting, and selecting of candidates in close partnership with hiring managers.
  • Contributes to the execution of the PPD sponsored and scheduled events and projects.
  • Actively participates in talent mobility processes and immigration petitions.
  • Maintains and gatekeeps personnel records and e-files, including I-9 compliance, up to date in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
  • Prepares the PPD metrics and analytics for the business.
  • Liaises with the local offices representatives, local benefits’ brokers, and international HQ for the renewal of employee benefits.
  • Communicates personnel changes to the local accountants across the Americas.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and update of budget forecasts and actuals pertaining to the cost centers owned by international HQ, including the creation and maintenance of purchase orders.
  • Delivers superior employee experience ensuring inquiries are addressed timely and effectively.
  • Ensures the communication between employees and the relevant parties / suppliers related to relocation, removal, repatriation, etc.
  • Coordinates with the U.S. employee’s benefits advisor / broker for stewardship, benefit renewal and open enrolment meetings.
  • Actively participates in MOSAIC, the global ERG responsible for DE&I initiatives across the global network.
  • Maintains and builds relationships with temporary workforce agencies.
  • Ensures data integrity and fidelity between the three platforms in place:global HRIS, benefits, and payroll.
  • Advises and provides guidance as needed to employees and management, on company policy and talent management best practices.
  • Conducts the data entry and information updates for the regular payroll routines in partnership with the finance organization.
  • Spearheads orientation for new employees in coordination with international HQ.
We would love to hear from you if
  • A bachelor’s degree is desired. Preferably with emphasis in human capital-related disciplines or business administration.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, coupled with proven record of role modelling and promotion of self-values.
  • Curiosity and genuine interest in the commercial aviation industry.
  • The exercise of good judgment translated into the preservation of critical, sensitive, and confidential information.
  • At least two to three years of increasingly technical or administrative work experience, preferably in the human capital arena. Experience, in the administration of employee benefits will be a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to learn, thrive, have fun, and celebrate as part of a dynamic, pro-positive and inviting PPD Team.
  • Sound communication skills is a must, with the ability to address audiences both on site and virtually. Command of Spanish and Portuguese languages will be desired.
  • Experience working with applications such as Cornerstone, ADP, Web Benefits Design(WBD)/Optavise and Hire Right, will also be plus.
  • Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S. is required.
  • The ability to navigate steadily without constant supervision combined with the ability to use initiative, creativity, and common sense.
