Assistant Editor Jobs

Position Summary

Assists Editors in managing media and projects as well as editing videos, recording scratch audio and other tasks that pertain to editing. Generally responsible for the continued maintenance of studio equipment, project workflow and project archive management.

Job duties

• Prepping all graphics/legal/supers for editor
• Organizing the dailies appropriately and transcoding footage when needed
• Pulling music/sound effects for projects
• Works closely with the Managing Director to maintain all social media platform postings
• Completing any and all AV requests (when asked)
• Carry out any reasonable request by management that is capable of being performed
• Posting viewable links for creative and clients to review
• Vaulting projects once complete
• Prepping assets for color, flame and mix sessions
• Ability to assistant multiple jobs at once
• Complete deliverables document once job has final delivered
• Working long hours based on the demands of the project
• Willing to work late nights and weekends when needed
• Exporting final masters and uploading to Extreme Reach

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required or equivalent work-related experience
• Strong knowledge of web posting formats and hosting platforms
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere and all of the Creative Suite, and familiar with AutoDesk Flame.
• Expert knowledge of HD formats/codecs/compressions/frame rates and how to convert between them
• Strong communication skills when dealing with editors and producers

Salary Range: 56k-65k Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: experience, training, transferable skills, and client.
