Job title : Managing Editor, Consumer Marketing & Managing Editor

Location : Candidates in Pacific or Central time Zone/Remote

Duration: 6 months; with possible extension

Pay: $46 per hour


Role Summary/Purpose:

This role will be responsible for assisting with project execution for content development. The person in this role will manage project timelines and tollgates, administration, quality control, issue resolution, approvals from key stakeholders and teams, and other essential aspects to executing content development and backend processes for campaigns. The role may also support some end to end execution of cardholder marketing campaigns depending on need. This role will partner with other cross functional teams which may include B2B marketing, DTC marketing, legal, compliance, sourcing and external vendors.


Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage project timelines for multiple content projects, support deliverables and requirements, and ensure tollgates are being met

• Manage and execute backend processes to support content development

• Work in Content Management System to update, format, audit, and add meta data for content such as newsletter articles, banners, imagery, etc.

• Passion for writing, editing and reporting with exceptional organizational skills.

• Work with internal and external teams to ensure all processes are followed, manage legal and compliance reviews, and ensure accuracy of the materials with attention to details

• Conduct final QA on projects and manage issue resolution

• Oversee production schedules and editorial calendars

• Work with creative agencies on developing collateral for marketing programs and campaigns.

• Support some smaller cardholder marketing campaigns and some end-end content development projects as needed.

• Manage creative and data approval process

• Manage legal and compliance requirements for programs and initiatives, including approvals and audit validations

• Communicate with all departments proactively to ensure stakeholders are aligned to campaign deliverables.

• Partner with Performance Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Fair Lending, Analytics and other internal teams to manage campaign development and execution

• Ensure creative direction and overall objective is maintained throughout project

• Monitor program results. Manage and assist the analytics team in preparing weekly, monthly and final program results

• Perform other projects and duties as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing OR in lieu of degree, a high school diploma and 3+ years of experience in the credit card industry or experience in the healthcare industry. Minor in journalism a bonus.


Desired Characteristics:

• Consumer finance and/or retail marketing experience with an understanding of core financial drivers

• Writing experience in the healthcare or medical industry

• Self-motivated, creative, strong initiative, and flexible. Ability to drive programs and campaigns in a team environment

• Strong process and project management skills with successful experience influencing and leading cross functional teams

• Previous work in editing or writing, English major/minor

• Strong Microsoft Office skills

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects

• Strong communication skills needed to exchange complex information and interface with cross functional teams both internally and externally

• Positive, high-energy attitude with passion for innovation

• Ability to analyze data, identify key trends and opportunities and develop improvement opportunities.
