JOB TITLE: E=Commerce Assistant

REPORTS TO: Director of Acquisitions & E-commerce

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking a qualified candidate to accurately photograph and post items on our online platforms, stage paid orders for pickup, and shipping purchased items as designated by order type.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has been an active affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International for more than 30 years. By building and preserving affordable housing through new construction, renovations, and home repairs, Habitat LA is transforming communities throughout Los Angeles County. Through access to affordable loans, housing counseling, down-payment assistance, skilled construction training, financial education, and volunteer opportunities the organization has strengthened families, helped stabilize communities, and fostered economic vitality in the region. On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Creating at least 5-8 listings online while ensuring accurate descriptions and photographs of items being sold
• Prepare, package, and ship purchased items within 2-3 days from purchase ensuring proper tracking information is provided.
• Capturing an accurate inventory of all items for eCommerce and maintaining a well-organized eCommerce area.
• Other related duties as assigned with the flexibility to assist in ReStore.
• Items sold online and selected for pickup are pulled and staged in the order they are received.

SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Recommended two plus years of experience as eBay Seller/User.
• Clean DMV record & Forklift certifiable.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA driver’s license and proof of insurance are required.
• Lift requirement of 75lbs
• Strong understanding of eCommerce.
• A degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required.

Although no longer required, we strongly encourage all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and will continue to require all employees to submit their vaccination status by the date of hire

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on the work area.
• Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouse's, and screens.
• Frequent movement around the office/warehouse/ReStore may be necessary.
• Frequently is required to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Working conditions consist of high temperature-controlled workspaces.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. alone, team lift 100 lbs.

Compensation

Pay Range: $19.00/hr. - $20.50/hr. *PLUS POTENTIAL MONTHLY BONUS*
