What we are looking for:
Wealth Management Onboarding team is looking to hire a hands-on DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for architecture, change, release and infrastructure management of a multitude of middleware application suites. The ideal engineer will bring their experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive DevOps initiatives. To be successful, one must effectively communicate with our development and operations team to orchestrate the creation of solutions that can scale. The responsibilities include building a process for automation as well as contributing to the development of internal tools to achieve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring
- Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
- Oversee software releases and all application deployments
- Build and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions
- Manage our continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiency
- Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, driving consensus and influencing outcomes
- Develop and implement DevOps infrastructure projects
- Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement
Skills and Experience we are looking for
Basic Qualifications
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Python, and JavaScript
- Strong communication and documentation skills - both verbally and in writing to effectively interact with multiple people and teams
- Comfortable with Java Runtime Environment and Java deployments. Must be able to update Java code to work with updated libraries.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working on Linux
- Familiarity with RDBMS like Sybase, DB2, etc. ETL processes.
- Recent hands on experience in software industry
- An ability to drive to goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Prior experience with Systems Administration, DevOps, Reliability Engineering, Application Programming
- Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
- Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with such as Gitlab, HAProxy, NGINX, Intellij, maven, AppDynamics
- Prior experience with storage and networking stacks
- Strong knowledge of configuration management tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of micro-services and related architectures
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with delivery of a SaaS product
