Job Description

We are currently seeking an Area Vice President to join our field leadership team! In the role of Area Vice President (AVP) at Everstory Partners, you will direct teams of General Managers (each with their own portfolio of cemeteries, funeral homes, and/or crematories) to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, optimize financial performance and elevate employee productivity and engagement!


  • You play a key role in promoting service excellence by holding your teams accountable for implementing best-practices, establishing priorities and providing support and guidance in order to successfully service our families.
  • You measure operational performance by the numbers, identifying underperforming metrics and generating strategic solutions in order to drive profitability and meet or exceed operational goals.
  • You are well-versed in developing and managing leaders -- a leader of leaders and get the most out of your direct reports through hiring, coaching, role modeling and effective performance management.
  • You possess and apply sound judgement and management expertise to address and resolve complex customer, employee and other business challenges.

The Impact You Will Make:


  • Apply solid decision-making skills, industry knowledge and sound judgement to address issues with which GMs need assistance.
  • Take personal responsibility for all aspects of the Areas daily operations.
  • Collaborate with all necessary parties to ensure that infrastructure and capital equipment projects are well managed and on-time.
  • Recruit, hire, coach and manage performance of General Managers and their direct reports.
  • Practice advanced planning skills: develop and guide management teams that resolve todays business issues while focusing personal energy on tomorrows business needs.
  • Partner with Customer Service Center Departments re: marketing, pricing, performance analysis, etc. to launch initiatives and provide resources needed within your Area.
  • Create and implement business plans to maintain high sales growth and high customer service satisfaction to achieve financial goals budgeting; monitoring and corrective action planning.
  • Act as the ultimate problem solver be tenacious and resourceful identify and solve problems network solutions.
  • Drive Area financial performance through sales and revenue growth and expense management to achieve net operating income growth.
  • Travel to and ensure our properties, equipment and service levels are maintained in order to provide a safe and positive work and visitor experience; make sure that locations conform to workplace health and safety requirements (safety meetings; incident reports; corrective plans, etc.)
  • Develop and manage teams that compassionately and profitably serve our customers in advance of, during, and following their time of need.
  • Foster an employee culture of excellence across all area locations through Company training programs, employee meetings, staff development, performance management and communication.
