On behalf of our client, a leading, national provider of IT Services partnered with organizations in the enterprise, education and government sectors to maximize the residual value of their IT devices, we are seeking a Vice President of Operations, responsible for steering the daily operations of the company, refining processes, optimizing resources, production capability expansion, and contributing substantively to organizational prosperity. Their adeptness in continuous improvement practices, dedication to ISO 9001 quality standards, and commitment to fostering a culture of learning through training and development initiatives collectively bolster the organization's capability to deliver exceptional products or services. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Operations is an integral member of the leadership team.
Key Priorities:
- Team Leadership: Manages and provides leadership to the operations team, including setting performance expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and fostering a positive work environment.
- People Development: Oversee the recruitment, interviewing, hiring and development of the operations team members. Continually assess the structure, capabilities and needs while creating an “A Team” for the organization.
- Performance Measurement: The Sr. VP of Growth & Marketing will develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and progress toward the overall company goals. These performance indicators and metrics will be shared with the CEO and other leadership.
- Change Management: Will lead organizational change initiatives, such as process reengineering, technology implementations, and organizational structuring.
- Resource Management: Will manage and optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel and budget to support overall efficient operations.
- Cultivating Growth and Expansion: This role entails spearheading the expansion of operational capabilities, aligning them with the company's trajectory and aspirations for growth.
- Strategic Planning: In conjunction with the CEO, Executive Leadership and operations Team, work to develop and implement strategies to enhance overall operational performance of the organization. This will include aligning operational objectives to the company’s long-term growth goals and vision.
- Company Culture: Become instrumental in driving departmental and companywide culture and foster a positive morale to ensure alignment with organizational value drivers including growth, accountability, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Develops comprehensive training programs to elevate employee skills, enhance operational efficiency, and promote career growth within the organization.
- Quality Control and ISO 9001: Responsible for ensuring that our products meet quality standards and customer expectations. The VP of Operations will monitor the quality control process and implements corrective actions when necessary. They will champion the adherence to the ISO 9001 standards for the quality management system.
- Process Improvement: The VP of Operations will identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve the quality of products and services. This may involve implementing best practices and methodologies for continuous improvement, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Experience & Competencies:
- Bachelors Degree
- Prior ISO 9001 experience and all other accreditations as appropriate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Being adept with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel and Outlook are necessary
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 10+ years of prior operations management experience
- Knowledge of WMS and ERPs.
- Attention to detail and commitment to managing problems through resolution
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Must work well in a fast-paced environment with dynamic requirements and priorities
