Area Assistant Director Of Finance

This role will support the Area Director of Finance in implementing and overseeing all aspects in the finance department and identify opportunities to increase revenue and maximize profitability of two hotels, Hotel 50 Bowery and Gild Hall.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Area Director of Finance with special reporting and analysis projects.
• Prepare and review daily and monthly P&L.
• Interview, train, and evaluate performance of staff.
• Prepare and review monthly reconciliations.
• Maintain full control of the GL and month end close processes.
• Work with respective Department Heads to put procedures in place as well as cost control, labor productivity, and revenue enhancement.
• Manage and oversee hotel on-site accounting/finance functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely, and accurate reporting for the hotel.
• Assist with managing and ensuring SOX and PCI compliance.

Salary range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 annually

Qualifications:

• Experience supervising Finance staff members
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
• Must have excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
• Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
• Prior Oracle, Hyperion, Kronos, Opera, and Hyatt systems expertise desired
• 3 years or more of progressive Finance experience, preferably within Hyatt
• Hospitality or Finance degree preferred
