Apprentice Information Security Analyst

Responsible for duties in the areas of security management, risk management, incident management, vulnerability management, information security program and technology implementations using instructions and established guidelines, with the goal of improving the overall security posture of the organization.

Work with the team to implement the various objectives of the Information Security Program and in the performance of the team goals.

Determine efforts to ensure security requirements are integrated and implemented throughout the organization.

Validate, maintain, and implement information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance with the Information Security Program.

Conduct third-party evaluations to ensure that their technology environment appropriately protects shared data, that contracts have the appropriate security requirements, and that those requirements are met.

Review and respond to client security audit requests and gather audit evidence

Resolve and prevent security incidents.

Job Specifications

Typically Has The Following Skills Or Abilities

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; in lieu of degree 4 years functional experience

Basic level knowledge of security principles and technologies

Understanding of risk concerns and able to articulate issues to business users

Basic understanding of implementing security controls

Understanding of network and application security penetration testing and/or vulnerability management

Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
