Overview

Scope of Responsibilities:Works under direct supervision and follow standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.

Job Summary:Process Invoices, Credits and Statements and enter into Accounts Payable System for accurate and timely payment

*This position can be based in either Syracuse or Gouverneur, NY. *

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

• Create Excel and Word documents as needed
• Verify appropriate approval of all invoices
• Prepare and accurately enter Invoices, credits and statements into AP System
• Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
• Review vendor statements to ensure accounts are current
• Verify accuracy of invoices/statements including pricing, quantities, due dates and terms
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide backup coverage within the A/P department
• Electronically file invoices by accurately indexing into OnBase
• Perform general office duties including use of calculator, copier, scanner, stuffer and postage meter
• Retrieve invoices from all sources: US Mail, Email, OnBase, Fax
• Contact and communicate with vendors and company approvers as needed for proper account management

Qualifications

Education:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Minimum: Associate degree

Experience:

• Preferred: 0-2 years previous experience in related position

Special Conditions of Employment:

• Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position
• Drug test
• Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
