Job Description
Job Title: Analyst – Commercial Planning


Location: Hudson Yards, NY


Department: CPD (Maybelline NY*Garnier*Essie focus)


Reports to: Manager, Commercial Planning


Definition Of Role


Play key role in aiding product prioritization to meet customer timelines and division financial shipment objectives. Strategically develop allocation recommendations to maximize available inventory while maintaining retailer priorities. Support Manager in the Monthly Commercial Forecast Reconciliation and Reporting process. Great opportunity to engage with broad array of cross-functional partners!


Roles And Responsibilities
  • Launch Availability Connects
  • Forecast Demand and Consensus Reviews
  • Disseminate product availability information regarding service risks / recovery timing
  • Serve as liaison between the Field Sales and U.S. Planning teams
  • Support Manager in launch planning process to ensure clear customer priorities, aligned pre-shipment approval and identification of potential shipment risks
  • Assist in maintaining monthly reports (i.e., Top Account Display Trackers)
  • Communicate product allocation needs to Inventory Management for stock protection
  • Customer Supply Chain (CSC) / Inventory Management (IM) Connects
  • Meetings include but not limited to:
  • US Planning Product Constraint and Recovery Connects
  • Support field forecast process and monthly reconciliation
  • Analyzes submissions to assess risks and opportunities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments and functions within the organization. Participate in weekly/monthly collaborative team meetings to offer Business Planning/Commercial Sales Team perspectives as needed
  • Non-Saleable Order Approval (SHOP)
  • Monitor constrained products
  • Brand Business Development (BBD) Connects
  • Leverage reports to concentrate on Top Account Cuts / Service Issues
  • Review weekly product allocation requests from Customer Supply Chain teams
  • Assembly Planning Connects


Recommended Skillset


  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite with a focus on Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Nice to haves: experience with EIW-Analyzer, Power BI and SAP
  • Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience, preferably in Sales, Operations, or Business Analytics
  • Ability to communicate complex information to a varied internal audience (both orally and in writing)
  • Undergraduate degree in business field
