Support the practice area on multiple day to day responsibilities and assigned tasks


  • Self-motivated, efficient team player.
  • Ability to lead independently and exercise good judgment in potentially difficult situations.
  • Investigate, analyze and recommend process improvements to a broad range of problems with minimal supervision.
  • Work closely with management and team members to establish task needs, deadlines and budgets.
  • Organize administrative activities such as calendars, meetings, travel, conferences, expenses and related activities across the department.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work on teams cross-functionally.
  • Work independently and serve as a key team contributor for special nonrecurring and ongoing tasks including time sensitive and high-profile practice area assignments.
  • Contribute to discussion about lessons learned.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the key compliance concepts, principles methods & tools associated with the role and practice area.
  • Begins to seek out opportunities to provide support to others (e.g., counsel, agents, and assistants).
  • Support opportunities for efficiency across department.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individuals, respond to inquiries, and provide feedback in a timely manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Able to create and support complex and detailed PowerPoint presentations on behalf of the practice area.
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, accurate, and act with a sense of urgency when needed.
  • Begin to identify opportunities for improvement within practice area.
  • Demonstrate a capacity to develop new skills and learn new software applications.
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options on assigned tasks.
  • Perform a variety of complex assignments and responsibilities on behalf of the practice area.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the key compliance concepts, principles, methods & tools associated with the role and practice area.
  • Excellent organizational and accountability skills, takes initiative to follow up with internal colleagues, outside counsel law firms and department specific partners to meet critical deadline dates.
  • Assist with onboarding of new team members.
  • Work in matter management and e-billing software and provide support for requesting POs and processing contracts and invoices.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 to 3 years’ of administrative work experience, or AA degree with 4 years’ administrative work experience, or 8 years’ of administrative and project support experience. Experience in a corporate compliance department and/or project background preferred.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical industry and/or in the Compliance field helpful
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
  • Some project management experience preferred
