Job Description

Role Overview
You will play a vital role in supporting the Chief of in achieving our service's goals and objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of managerial and analytical tasks, addressing both immediate and future needs of the organization. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, you will provide technical and administrative supervision to a dedicated team of Advanced Medical Support Assistants (AMSA), Medical Support Assistants (MSA), and Program Application Specialists (PAS-ADPAC).
Key Responsibilities
People Management: You will be responsible for directing the personnel management program for , ensuring compliance with human resources requirements. This includes recruitment, compensation, promotions, awards, benefits, position classification, performance management, leave administration, training, disciplinary actions, and labor relations. Your expert advice will be sought by the Service Chief, Section Chiefs, and Supervisory Therapists to address human resources needs effectively.
Financial Oversight: You will take charge of the overall budgeting and financial management for the service. This includes budget formulation, presentation, and execution, as well as financial reporting. Your expertise in budgetary and finance matters will be invaluable in providing guidance and support to the Chief and other program personnel.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
U.S. citizenship is required.
Selective Service Registration is mandatory for males born after 12/31/1959.
Successful completion of a background/security investigation.
Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program is required for all Health Care Personnel.
Experience And Education
To qualify for this role, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Specialized Experience: You should possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level. This experience should demonstrate your ability to manage health care delivery systems and apply this knowledge within a similar environment. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements is also expected.
Education: Alternatively, you may substitute education for experience. A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.M. (if related) would meet the educational requirement.
Combination: A combination of specialized experience and education beyond the GS-11 level will also be considered.
Work Schedule And Benefits
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
