Under the direction of the Manager for Grant and Fund Administration in the Department of Radiological Sciences, the Grant and Fund Analyst provides fiscal, grants management and administrative support to Principal Investigators for the lifetime of their extramurally funded projects, which are comprised of complex federal, state, private, and clinical research grants and industry-sponsored clinical trials. The Administrative Analyst is the primary resource for faculty in the development, preparation, and submission of grant applications. They are responsible for the administration of multi millions of dollars in extramural funding, while assuring independent contract/grant requirements, federal, state, county, city and university rules/regulations, and local compliance mandates. The Analyst with work closely with Sales and Service entities to ensure invoices are submitted to clients timely, revenue is posted promptly, and expenditures are made according to budget. They assist in preparation of sales and service center annual reports and rate agreement updates. This is a 99% remote position
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred · Ability to advise principal investigators on preparation of grant proposals · Ability to perform as a team member · Demonstrated ability to audit expenditures and assure that they conform to policies and guidelines · Demonstrated skill and expertise in developing, implementing and maintaining effective procedures for contracts and grants management · Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty and staff · Experience interpreting and applying various funding agencies' technical requirements and procedures. · Keen knowledge of cost accounting standards, the guiding OMB circulars for institutions of higher education, NIH Grants · Knowledge of contract and grant administration guidelines and various funding agency online proposal submission systems, i.e. Cayuse · Knowledge of University administrative units and their services, role and responsibilities and ability to contact them appropriately to obtain needed information. · Policy, and federal regulation 45CFR46 on the protections of human subjects participating in research. · Skill in performing complex accounting transactions · Working knowledge of University forms, policies and procedures in areas of contracts and grants, accounting, purchasing, personnel and payroll
