The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.
Handles merchandise vendor inquiries and disputes related to payments and deductions in a timely and accurate manner. Provides courteous and timely service to vendors in order to maintain Buyers' bargaining position. Works closely with Distribution Services, Merchandising, and Logistics to research receiving and payment issues related to vendor disputes. Takes proper action and/or makes recommendations for dispute resolution
- Prepares and reviews vendor account analysis with Merchants to resolve vendor issues.
- Tracks vendors' call history accurately in the Call Tracking System.
- Follows up on all inquiries and correspondence until the vendor issues are resolved.
- Researches vendor disputes and recommends resolution to Management and Merchants.
- Ensures timely verbal and written communication with vendors.
- Responsible for obtaining necessary approvals from Merchandising and Finance Management for payback transactions.
- Researches payment issues and takes proper action to resolve these issues.
- Assists merchandise vendors with payment inquiries and issues.
- Works closely with other areas of Accounts Payable, Distribution Centers, Transportation, and Merchandising to resolve disputes.
- Responsible for handling any "special deals" and anticipation as well as obtaining proper approvals based on the Corporate Approval Authority Schedule.
