Mgr Accounts Payable
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To manage all corporate accounts payable (AP) functions; to provide training and technical management to departmental staff; to manage AP procedures and processes ensuring consistency within the operations and functions of the AP department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyzes and verifies accounting documents for internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy; makes adjustments as needed.
  • Performs and reviews account reconciliations; troubleshoots and analyzes discrepancies.
  • Maintains working relationship with all department team leads and operation management as required, including preparation of necessary AP related communications.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of all AP transactions.
  • Provides primary support for colleagues in their use of the company's T&E software and recommends enhancements and changes that can improve the related processes or user experience.
  • Identifies, creates, and monitors quality control in the department to improve overall AP processes.
  • Assigns, distributes, and coordinates work to ensure consistent, efficient and timely delivery of service.
  • Assists in preparing and reviewing journal entries as required and assigned.
  • Assists with monthly expense and AP related variance reporting and ensures proper expense allocations.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
  • Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
  • Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
Six (6) years experience in the accounting field or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include two (2) years of supervisory experience.
