Description

Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for an accountant who wants to be challenged and is interested in being directly involved with the business.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Communicate effectively within the team and with internal and external customers and data providers
• Monthly Closing including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and inventory accounting
• Sales/Cost of Sales Accounting
• Assistance with preparation of ad hoc project financials
• Payables/Receivables reporting, reconciliation, and analysis
• Assistance with quarterly and annual forecasting cycles
• Development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures
• Accrual Preparation

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years’ accounting experience
• 4-year degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business-related degree

Top Candidates Will Also Have

• Strong communication skills with a passion for asking questions
• Experience with Axiom, BOBJ, Power BI, Tableau, and ESAP/SAP
• Ability to resolve issues independently
• Initiative, leadership, good judgement, effective organization skills, and accountability
