Northrop Grumman, Cutting Edge Optronics, is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Analyst. to work in our Saint Charles, MO facility. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple assignments. Under the supervision of the Controller the selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
Job Duties in include but are not limited to:
- Conduct general-ledger account reconciliations, verifying accuracy of data and identifying errors
- Serve as a backup for Purchase Requisition processing
- Review travel & expense (T&E) reports and monthly statements; process T&E reimbursements
- Identify cost savings opportunities and process efficiencies
- File accounting records (i.e. invoices, statements, journal entries, etc.)
- Prepare financial reports when requested by managers, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Serve as a backup for Accounts Receivable functions
- Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, accruals, and overall maintenance of general-ledger accounts.
- Perform Accounts Payable functions
- Maintain and update Purchase Order delivery dates in ERP system
- Provide accounting guidance to functional departments
- Reconcile and process intercompany billings and allocations
- Support sign-in security at business office
- Research of GAAP and tax law change impact
- Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Accounting
- Prior experience with ERP Systems
- 2 years of experience in General Accounting
