Senior Analyst, Global Accounting & Reporting

The McDonald’s Corporate Controller Group’s Financial Accounting and Reporting group currently has an excellent opportunity for an Analyst to join our team. This position offers a tremendous opportunity for an individual to gain an understanding of McDonald’s Corporation, the global business, financial statements, consolidation accounting, internal and external reporting and more. It will provide the candidate the ability to further enhance their analytical, communication and project management skills.

Our key customers include the market controllers and staff, Investor Relations, Corporate Controller Group leadership and Top Management. This position calls for an individual who is results-driven with strong organizational skills that can manage multiple priorities to meet tight reporting deadlines. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Execution of various aspects of external financial statements and related footnotes – namely the consolidated Balance Sheet and/or Cash Flow statements
• Collaboration with various stakeholders across global markets and functions (i.e. Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Legal, internal and external auditors, etc)
• Assist in preparation of ad hoc research requests from management and key customers
• Analysis, consolidation, and reporting of monthly income statement results
• Technical accounting research and application
• Manage & develop 1 direct report
• Ownership of critical standard monthly/quarterly reports for use by Leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance, CPA preferred
• 3+ years of experience in the accounting industry and/or in financial services,public experience
• Initiative and creativity in finding efficiencies
• Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to quickly learn other software applications necessary to complete daily tasks
• Results-driven individual
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
• Outstanding analytical abilities and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
