Reputable organization in Woodstock, GA area is seeking a Technical Manufacturing Director with 8 years of manufacturing experience.

Your primary goal will be to implement strategies to improve the quality of our products and processes. You will manage customer complaint process, coordinate any required product rework, and provide feedback to customers and suppliers as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality feedback to suppliers as required.
• Provides guidance and instruction to QA auditors on quality procedures and quality issues.
• Coordinates and schedules annual fire protection system inspections. Acts as primary contact with the local fire department.
• Comply with all safety rules and guidelines.
• Reviews all products for compliance with local, state, and federal VOC requirements.
• Housekeeping of the aerosol laboratory and retain sample storage area.
• Reviews and approves product labels for regulatory compliance.
• Manages designated capital projects.
• Participates in required Industry events.
• Reviews and approves product sample requests.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of products and processes.
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the aerosol laboratory and QA auditors.
• Disposition of nonconforming product. Coordinates any required product rework.
• Reviews and approves product labels for regulatory compliance.
• Manages the hazardous waste program.
• Coordinates the company’s response to annual insurance loss control inspections.
• Reviews and approves all final product safety data sheets. Serves as administrator for the SDS system.
• Provide aerosol technical support to customers as required.
• Manages the customer complaint process.
• Manage the aerosol laboratory and provide direct supervision and guidance to the R&D chemists and lab technicians.
• Approve all substitutions to the product bill of materials.
• Documentation and maintenance of batch and product retain samples.
• Develops, implements, and manages quality assurance procedures to maintain quality standards.
• Completes and maintains all annual reporting, permits, and recordkeeping required by state and federal regulatory agencies.
• Schedule and conduct quarterly quality and safety meetings with employees.

• Strong organizational, team building and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in an applied science or related discipline.
• Regulatory and environmental experience
• 5 years management experience in a quality, technical, or process related position in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of aerosol laboratory, quality assurance systems and procedures.
• Experience in identifying and implementing process improvement activities.
