Youth Programs Associate Jobs

Help oversee and manage program applications, lead testing data, file transfers with state agencies, and reporting requirements.

Provide customer support and education to child care providers as needed.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

1-3 years of experience in water, public health, public policy, urban planning, and/or environmental sciences

Knowledge and expertise on lead testing protocols and mitigation strategies highly desired

Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills

Manage an internal team of 2 employees – a Manager and Associate.

Manage relationships with existing and potential grantees, partners, and consultants, peer funders and issue area experts.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as both a program manager and part of a team.

Experience managing individuals and/or teams is strongly preferred.

Strong analytical, writing and organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with clear, concise, and accurate writing, editing, and proofing skills.

General Accountabilities & Essential Functions:

Implement and lead educational opportunities for youth volunteers. Regularly lead training, continuing education and field trip opportunities.

Evaluates youth volunteer interpreters for informational accuracy and interpretive techniques. Provides constructive feedback.

Support drafting of clear, concise memos, proposals, program reports and presentations for executive management.

Interest in and knowledge of public policy, fiscal policy, and learning about new issue areas connected to the Foundation’s core mission.

A combination of education, training and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in art, art education or a related field

Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and purchasing as it pertains to a child development program.

Assists in overseeing the implementation of developmentally appropriate programs and curriculum based on national accreditation and State licensing requirements.

Knowledge of DOD, local and state child regulations, instructions and procedures pertaining to child care.

Knowledge of Federal and State laws governing the detection and prevention of child abuse and/or neglect.

Prior experience providing detailed reports, budgets, and other documentation for corporations and/or state or federal governmental agencies.

Master’s degree in special education, Human Development, Early Childhood or related field.

Demonstrates leadership to and management of the nursing programs, to include initiative in maintaining and in improving the quality of instruction.

Maintains currency of knowledge in nursing education by attending state and national meetings of nursing educators and administrators.

Serves as the College's liaison with the Board of Nursing regarding continuing education for nurses.

Five years of experience in academic, clinical or ad ministrative nursing, or any combination thereof

Provides program data, reports and schedules to the Dean of Nursing & Health Programs.

Coordinates clinical placements within the district and with out-of-district Clinical Coordinating Councils.

Manage recruitment and enrollment for youth programs;

Build and manage relationships with community partners such as local schools, community organizations, community members, and social service agencies;

Maintain administrative responsibilities including completing participant case notes, payment logs, and permission slip documents;

Additional relevant responsibilities as needed.

Candidate must have experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds;

Candidates must have strong team skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment;

3 or more years of project or program management and logistics coordination experience

Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse groups

Knowledge of the U.S. education system and current LGBTQ2S+ issues in schools

Work with Youth Programs Manager and students to outline leadership development plans for members

Increase opportunities for LGBTQ2S+ students to engage in GLSEN programs and build leadership skills, including creating and updating student resources

Manage Shine team content creation for GLSEN’s youth-facing social media channels in coordination with the Communications department

May coordinate visits from external collaborators/visitors. Manages housing arrangements, itineraries, and travel arrangements.

Approximately 2 years of prior related experience

Responsible for procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment as needed.

Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.

Coordinates calendars and schedules appointments and meetings. Prioritizes requests for meetings and coordinates the necessary arrangements for meetings.

Bachelor's Degree in youth development, community education, education, recreation or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in developing and sustaining collaborative relationships with representatives of multiple education and community partners.

Provide consultation and support to students navigating educational opportunities best suited to their success.

Monitor program budgets; work with the Community Education Director and program leadership to develop annual program budgets.

Demonstrates exceptional skill in the roles of youth development, including as a collaborator, action researcher, reflective practitioner, and youth advocate.

Thorough skills collecting and disseminating data to support programming needs.

Previous budget management experience, including grant management

Credits for After-School & CA State Licensing experience; Y-USA Multi-Team Leader Certification

Leads and plans with change management in the forefront.

Uphold YMCA policies for safety, supervision, mandated reporting and risk management.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional and community leadership experience (related experience)

5 years of experience with youth programs and in a supervisory role

Assists in planning and management of City and community special events.

Crowd Manager Certification (If assigned to Theatre)

Community recreation/cultural facility management, including scheduling, maintenance and security.

Minimum of 1910 OSHA 10 Certification (If assigned to Theatre)

Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.) certification

CPR, Blood Born Pathogens, and First Aid certification

Strong project management experience in an arts setting with a focus on operationalizing complex public programs, events, and installations.

Exceptional time-management and personal organization skills.

Conceives, co-develops, manages, and facilitates meaningful programs and initiatives that provide impactful experiences, attract new audiences, and engender critical conversations.

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in museum/cultural organization education, public engagement, or public programming.

Effectively manages artists, program partnerships, alumni networks, distribution lists, and other relationships related to programs.

Demonstrated experience working with artists of all backgrounds and levels of experience.

Provide ongoing case management and identify resources

Provide program monitoring, budget management, grant writing, community presentations, and maintain positive public relations

Organizational and management practices as applied to the analysis and evaluation of programs, policies, and operational needs

Facilitate weekly life skills workshops and classes

Manage the overall activities of the Juvenile Community Service program

At least five years of experience working with youth and families

Teacher or pursuing a degree in education.

Optimal Candidates will have experience working with Children in a prior capacity:

Leading / instructing individuals or groups in various activities (fishing, obstacle course, sport games, crafts, hikes, etc.).

Cleaning, maintaining, and preparing equipment (fishing, crafts, etc.).
