Troubadour Golf & Field Club is looking for an experienced candidate to take on our Youth Coordinator position. The Youth Coordinator position will lead and supervise groups and individuals in the outdoors, ensuring their safety and teaching skills and techniques relevant to the particular activity being undertaken. The Youth Coordinator is responsible for planning, overseeing, and directing the operations, services, staff, and activities of an assigned Youth program.

Responsibilities:

  • Training staff on safety requirements and guidelines.
  • Leading / instructing individuals or groups in various activities (fishing, obstacle course, sport games, crafts, hikes, etc.).
  • Create, plan, and execute day-to-day activities for youth.
  • Overall supervision of youth planned activities with the aim of providing a healthy, safe, and memorable experience.
  • Cleaning, maintaining, and preparing equipment (fishing, crafts, etc.).
  • Facilitate all youth programming in Outdoor Pursuits.

Ability To:

  • Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean, safe, and secure manner.
  • Meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Lead staff; including training, work planning, organizing, scheduling, and coordinating.
  • Work in a team environment and operate in a safe, professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and work within authorized budgeted resources.

Optimal Candidates will have experience working with Children in a prior capacity:

  • Teacher or pursuing a degree in education.
  • Youth leadership in a non-profit organization (Religious Institutions, Boys & Girls Club, United Way, etc.)
  • Daycare worker.
