Job Description
Our Company:

Launched in 2014 by former philosophy professor David Barnett, PopSockets is a global digital-lifestyle company that sells empowering, fun, and expressive products that improve people’s digital lives. PopSockets has sold over 250 million of its iconic phone grips in 75 countries and now has an expanding ecosystem of related products, including phone cases, wallets, mounts, batteries, and chargers.

In May 2023, we hired our first outside CEO, Gary Schoenfeld. Gary is a business leader with a remarkable track record with consumer brands and all aspects of the retail industry, having successfully led several companies to their next level of growth and innovation. Gary joins us most recently as the former President & COO of SKIMS and having previously been CEO of two public companies, Vans and Pac Sun and COO of another DTC leader, Fashion Nova.

With new leadership being added to the team in several key roles, PopSockets is now embarking on an exciting next chapter of growth and brand evolution in the multi-billion-dollar mobile accessories category. PopSockets patented grip is the recognized market leader with the opportunity to dramatically enhance consumers affinity for the brand and its entire ecosystem of on-the-go mobile accessories.

We believe we can become the global, on the go accessories leader by focusing on both the unique functionality of our products combined with the creativity, self-expression and cultural relevance that can exist within the PopSockets “canvas” of tops and cases. PopSockets also enjoys a deep history of community involvement and since Day 1 have viewed our mission as building an eternal positivity machine--an enduring global brand that makes a growing positive impact on the world.

Impact initiatives to date include Climate Neutral certification in 2022, our Poptivism platform and ChangeUp partnership, which have resulted in over $4 million in donations to over 400 non-profits, low-friction recycling programs with TerraCycle, use of 99% recyclable and FSC certified packaging, Fair Labor Association accreditation, and adoption of an animal-free policy with respect to products and corporate sponsored meals. In 2021, PopSockets was honored as one of Fast Company’s World's Most Innovative Companies and our Founder was recognized by Ernst & Young as the National Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018.

The Product Development and Merchandising team within PopSockets drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. We are the “product CEOs” and partner cross-functionally with almost every other team within the company to drive high satisfaction for our end user and to drive business results.
