Private Equity Junior Analyst Jobs

3+ years of law firm or in-house paralegal experience, with a preference for experience within the funds / investment management space

Manage entity formation and maintenance processes

Experience with basic aspects of corporate governance

Serve as record keeper and source of information for the client

Maintain central database to coordinate organization of entity documentation, transaction closing documents, transaction structures, key contractual obligations and recurring deadlines

Maintenance of firm-wide officer slates and signature blocks

2+ years of Cash Management / Treasury experience

BS in Business, Accounting or Finance

Excellent computer skills, including Advanced Excel but not limited to creating charts, macros, and pivot tables.

Assist with excel bank account reconciliations

Preparation of weekly cash position and supporting schedules

Preparations and/or review of budgets

Access and Experience to some or all the following data sources (IBIS, CapitalIQ, Pitch Book, etc.)

Excellent analytical, research, organizational, written and oral communication skills

Review investment opportunities and prepare memos for the Investment Committee

Prepare presentation materials and offering memoranda

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience with marketing, web-based platforms and technology preferred

Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop preferred

Develop, create, analyze and present complex financial models including cash flow projections, waterfall calculations and sensitivity analysis

Assist in the preparation of internal and external investment committee presentation packages

1-2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or management consultancy, preferably with M&A experience

Solid foundational technical skills - finance, accounting, modeling, and data analytics

Current Investment Banking Analyst or Associate. Experience on transactions in the consumer services / business services sectors is a plus

Responsibilities of the new hire will include but not be limited to, the following:

Performing initial review of transaction opportunities and discussing with senior members of the investment team

Leading construction of detailed financial models and valuation analyses

Assist in the management of the Private Equity portfolio of the defined benefit plan

Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field

Experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Support the capital raising process from origination to close.

Maintain all fundraising-related documentation - including status reports, activity reports, roadshow calendars, investor profiles and agendas

Prepare analysis on GP portfolios to enable deal teams to benchmark industry players and analyse capital flows both regionally and globally

Coordinate investor roadshows and logistics

Hands on experience in actively covering Hedge Funds & Mutual Funds

1-2 Years of experience in Equity Sales

Conduct fundamental research as directed by the portfolio managers on individual stocks or industries.

With a strong knowledge of Bloomberg, generate and improve a series of quantitative screens and risk reports.

Undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, business, accounting or economics.

Quantitative analytical skills to be applied to report generation.

Knowledge of Bloomberg and how best to automate reports.

CFP certification, or a willingness to work towards obtaining a CFP.

Pro-actively take on additional responsibilities and administration tasks as required by your manager or clients

Consider regulatory issues at all times and report any concerns to senior management as appropriate

Collaborate with your team to manage workload and client deliverables

Willingness to become an expert in technical matters relating to funds by studying for relevant professional qualifications

Willingness to study towards professional qualification such as CGI (formally ICSA)
