Boeing's Trust Investments Group seeks to provide leadership in fulfilling its fiduciary responsibility for Boeing's $110 billion in retirement assets. Trust Investments is seeking an Analyst – Private Equity to join their team in Chicago, Illinois.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate and assist in manager and strategy research as needed
  • Produce reporting for internal and external collaborators related to the Private Equity portfolio
  • Assist in the management of the Private Equity portfolio of the defined benefit plan
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of current investment managers. This typically includes face-to-face meetings, quarterly updates, performance monitoring, holdings analysis, guideline compliance, risk monitoring, due diligence, etc.
  • Monitor global macro and micro economic, political, and investment trends and capital flows into the Private Equity market, incorporate into staff investment discussions and asset class reviews
  • Maintain procedures and processes for Private Equity, including leading all aspects of document retention and due diligence for investments
  • Provide analytical support for the Private Equity portfolio
  • Work on a team, and will report to the Director of Private Equity
  • May travel up to 20% of the time

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Chicago, Illinois. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations
  • 3+ years of experience in a Finance, Accounting, Business or related role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to generate both qualitative and quantitative independent analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of Private I or other alternative investment performance reporting software
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or progress toward CFA designation preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of alternative investment strategies and structures
