Has good verbal communications skills

Has good math skills and is quickly able to calculate the cost of goods and services

5+ years of procurement experience

Compares prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions

Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization

Manage all supplier onboarding, records, updates and inquiries through OracleCloud in alignment with contract terms

Minimum of 2+ years of procurement/buyer experience and an understanding of source-to-contract, procure-to-pay and PR/PO lifecycle

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Experience with ticketing and ERP systems

Experience with OracleCloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, JIRA and DocuSign preferred

Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to assess market trends, evaluate supplier proposals, and drive cost savings

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives

Identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency in the procurement process for manufacturing materials, equipment, and services

Working knowledge of University benefits policies and procedures

Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with a variety of ethnic, social, cultural and educational backgrounds.

Ability and willingness to take initiative in improvement of Department personnel management

Excellent Skill in writing letters and memos using Microsoft Word

Skill in prioritizing assignments with frequent deadlines and occasional heavy workloads

Working knowledge of University academic personnel policies and procedures and labor contracts

Supplier Management – Work with internal clients and suppliers to build strong supplier relationships with a focus on continuous improvement.

Supplier Research – Work with Procurement management and internal clients to identify, research, and make recommendations for potential suppliers.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

Exceptional computer skills, including advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and other data manipulation tools.

Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.

Experience working in manufacturing supply chain for consumer products.

Develop strategic sourcing skills, practices, and knowledge.

Project manage the contract review process with team members and coordinate with legal subject matter experts.

Understand our requirements; create guidelines and design standard vendor contract protocols.

Identify risks associated with important vendors and manage and help monitor supplier performance against negotiated Service level agreement and MSA terms.

4+ years experience with procurement

Experience with spreadsheet/reporting manipulation, including pivot tables, functions

Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk.

Background / knowledge in NIEF Logistics/Materials

Extensive Knowledge of MS Office applications (Microsoft, PowerPoint, Excel)

Able to manage workloads with a minimal amount of direct supervision

Able to multi-task and support concurrent requirements for multiple internal and external customers

Able to manage time and prioritize workload, and work under firm and quick turnaround deadlines
