Procurement Specialist Jobs

This position is responsible for sourcing, supplier analysis, negotiating and managing contracts that are compliant with financial services and banking regulations. Additional responsibilities include buying, approval of requisitions for assigned spend categories and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

5 Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Ability to plan schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objective
• Work in company’s contracts system to archive contracts, approve purchase requisitions and engage with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot issues.
• Negotiate contracts and gaining approval from cross functional stakeholders. Working with such internal business units as legal, Information systems, vendor compliance management, and various other business leaders in contracting review process.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing and contracting assignments, including RFx development and contract analysis
• Review approval and buying for assigned commodity categories

Work experience/education qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• 4 to 7 years of procurement sourcing and contracting experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Technical knowledge and skills required:

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills required
• Project, Visio, or similar programs is a plus
• Project management education or experience helpful
• Experience using PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Ariba or other tier 1 ERP or purchasing systems is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $40- $45 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
