Qualifying scores ILR 3 minimum or equivalent on language/translation tests.

Write in their native language fluently, but still have professional command of the non-native language.

Translate in a manner that is factually and conceptually accurate without changes, omissions, or additions.

Preserve the tone and register of source language materials.

Abide by relevant code of linguist ethics.

Minimum Experience: 2 years of medical interpretation. Spanish/English.

Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Completion of medical interpretation competency test.

Evaluates and scores bilingual assessment exams for classified positions;

Develops and revises forms and other communications for speakers of designated second language;

Assists care providers to recognize potential victims of trafficking.

Provides technical assistance to grantees related to policies and procedures

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (will be tested)

Use professional judgement and escalate customer issues/concerns to management when appropriate.

Training is held remotely after first day onsite attendance

One-year customer service experience (may include call center, hospitality, retail, etc.), either by phone or face to face communications.

Direct call center experience preferred

Effective listening and communication skills and the ability to interact with customers in a professional, courteous, and empathetic manner.
