Civil Engineering Manager Jobs

The successful candidate will facilitate engineering, procurement, and construction of solar and battery storage projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead grading, stormwater, drainage, erosion, hydrology, and geotechnical analyses to support value-engineering and solar array design optimization
• Create internal conceptual and preliminary designs of solar and storage projects for purposes including interconnection, permitting, project sales, and construction preparation
• Understand applicable codes, design standards, and technical requirements for utility scale civil and foundation design and ensure they are met throughout the engineering, procurement, and construction process
• Conduct early-and mid-stage desktop hydrological, geotechnical, and topographical site assessment and incorporate findings in project design
• Maintain Scopes of Work, manage consultants, and review deliverables for 3rd Party design packages from a 10% level to Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings and studies as well as Geotechnical, Hydrological, and Topographical Engineering Studies
• Oversee quality of civil project designs and support resolution of challenges encountered throughout the construction process

Qualifications:

• PE License is preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology modeling software such as Flo-2D or similar, and other civil design software
• 5-7+ years of civil engineering experience
• Utility-scale solar design experience (storage experience is an advantage)
