Overview A Business Development Manager Defense is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with defense contractors and other government agencies in order to secure contracts and other business opportunities. This position requires a strong understanding of the defense industry and the ability to identify and capitalize on potential business opportunities. Detailed Job Description The Business Development Manager Defense is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with defense contractors and other government agencies in order to secure contracts and other business opportunities. This position requires a strong understanding of the defense industry and the ability to identify and capitalize on potential business opportunities. The Business Development Manager Defense will be responsible for researching and analyzing the defense industry, identifying potential business opportunities, and developing strategies to capitalize on those opportunities. The Business Development Manager Defense will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with defense contractors and other government agencies, negotiating contracts, and managing the execution of those contracts. Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
• Knowledge of the defense industry and the ability to identify and capitalize on potential business opportunities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with defense contractors and other government agencies
• Ability to negotiate contracts and manage the execution of those contracts
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of the defense industry and the ability to identify and capitalize on potential business opportunities
• Knowledge of the government procurement process
• Knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements associated with defense contracts
• Knowledge of the principles of project management
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
• Experience in the defense industry
• Experience in negotiating contracts and managing the execution of those contracts
