ESL Certification required within six months of employment.

Ability to adapt teaching pedagogy to the knowledge of each individual and class.

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in the discipline OR

An Associate degree and six years of experience in the discipline OR

Masters degree in an exercise science-related discipline + 2 years college level coaching experience.

Assistant Equipment Manager - Athletics

Directs and oversees the purchasing, inventory, distribution, and maintenance of athletic equipment for the Mens & Womens Basketball and Volleyball teams.

Develops, implements, and monitors the overall athletic equipment budget for Mens & Womens Basketball and Volleyball teams.

Ensures that purchases are made within state purchasing laws.

Experience with web content management systems (SIDEARM preferred)

Experience in communications, or a related area

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop)

Broad knowledge of all sports, including rules and statistics

Experience inputting and calling stats using Genius software for volleyball and basketball and Statcrew for lacrosse

General knowledge of videography and photography

Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

Knowledge of and skill with Adobe InDesign via Adobe Creative Suite

The Assistant Director of Athletics will be expected to develop and maintain knowledge of the College financial system and related procedures.

A Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least one year of collegiate coaching experience is required.

Previous experience in managing and athletic administration is preferred.

The Assistant Director of Athletics is expected to assist in maintain safe environments for those participating in sponsored programs and activities.

Manage Pepsi Allotment- Place orders and communicate with coaches on free product requests from Gatorade and Pepsi

Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, strategic-thinking skills; willingness to take initiative and learn

Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills along with strong customer service skills

1-2 years relevant experience (Sports Marketing, Marketing, Communications, etc.)

Skill in program design, implementation, and management.

Valid Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification preferred.

Directs and manages the district's athletic program and facilities.

Directs and manages the overall program of extracurricular and intramural athletics for the district.

Establishes and maintains physical and academic eligibility requirements for participation in each sport, and verifies each athlete’s eligibility.

Manages district athletic operations including directing ticket sales, employing game officials, and ensuring preparation of facilities.

Work closely with the department Office Manager on the annual athletic awards program.

Work closely with the Director of Athletics Communications (SID) including but not limited to the following areas:

Write and prepare releases, game programs, feature stories, game recaps pertaining to Hartwick Athletics for dispersal to media outlets

Help maintain athletic website (rosters, schedules, stats, releases, game recaps)

Serve as statistician for home athletic events (as assigned)

Create promotional graphics and video content

Knowledge of youth and adult athletic programs and activities.

Knowledge of the principles of safety and basic first aid and CPR procedures.

Knowledge of athletics competition rules and tournaments.

Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge to perform job functions of subordinate staff.

Skilled in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office applications.

Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's Degree is preferred
