Athletics Assistant Jobs in New York

Ability to effectively engage with and facilitate authentic learning for students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

Ability to adapt teaching pedagogy to the knowledge of each individual and class.

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in the discipline OR

An Associate degree and six years of experience in the discipline OR

Masters degree in an exercise science-related discipline + 2 years college level coaching experience.

Experience with web content management systems (SIDEARM preferred)

Experience in communications, or a related area

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop)

Broad knowledge of all sports, including rules and statistics

Experience inputting and calling stats using Genius software for volleyball and basketball and Statcrew for lacrosse

General knowledge of videography and photography

Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

Knowledge of and skill with Adobe InDesign via Adobe Creative Suite

Knowledge of and skill with using Adobe PhotoShop through Adobe Creative Suite

Ability to manage the graphic design needs of assigned sports

Knowledge of live video streaming procedures and techniques using Facebook Live, You Tube, Twitter Media Studio and other social media platforms

Perform education of student-athletes on their social media usage and how it impacts their personal brand

Work closely with the department Office Manager on the annual athletic awards program.

Work closely with the Director of Athletics Communications (SID) including but not limited to the following areas:

Write and prepare releases, game programs, feature stories, game recaps pertaining to Hartwick Athletics for dispersal to media outlets

Help maintain athletic website (rosters, schedules, stats, releases, game recaps)

Serve as statistician for home athletic events (as assigned)

Create promotional graphics and video content
