Associate Industrial Hygienist Jobs

Prepare investment memos and other presentations for senior management and the Investment Committee.

3 years of working knowledge in consensus health standards (ACGIH and NIOSH)

2 years of extensive experience in basic industrial hygiene engineering concepts, particularly in ventilation and exhaust systems

1 year of experience advising employers of hazardous situations and to prepare, analyze and interpret technical reports

1 year of hands-on experience developing and providing training to employers and employees

Manage projects from scheduling the work, performing site investigations, and preparing reports.

Field experience directly related to industrial hygiene. Experience with residential and/or healthcare facilities will be an advantage.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English

Organize and execute on-call inspections/assessment for mold, indoor air-quality, asbestos and lead based paint.

Frequent travel for field work/site visits. (50% Baltimore and 50% DC/Northern Virginia area)

BS / MS in Environmental Science, Biology, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related environmental/scientific field.

Advanced computer and data management skills in a Windows-based platform.

Directly manage an office that includes multiple departments and personnel;

5-10+ years of experience managing IH staff and business development

CSP Certification (preferred, but not required)

HAZWOPER Certification - Required (Can be obtained post-hire)

3+ years relevant experience working in regulatory compliance and sustainable EHS compliance programs.

Experience working in High Tech, Power, Pharmaceutical or chemical sector environments.

Current or planned Certified Industrial Hygiene (CIH) certification. Other certifications such as ASP/CSP, CSST, CHMM, are highly desirable.

Conducts Industrial Hygiene measurements such as air monitoring, interprets laboratory results, calibrates instruments, and prepares reports
