We are seeking an Industrial Hygiene/Mitigation Consultant with a broad background to assist in the evaluation and control of a wide range of risks associated with occupational and public exposure to safety and health hazards (e.g., chemical, biological, and physical hazards). With the support of Rimkus staff, you will manage, plan, coordinate, conduct, and complete investigations to address complex questions. Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients regarding project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Operate sampling and testing equipment.
  • Evaluate and control exposure to health hazards such as noise, microbial contaminants, water damages, fire effluents, mold, workplace accidents, and other subjects depending upon qualifications.
  • Prepare oral and written reports that document your findings, analysis, and conclusions.
  • You will be required to travel locally as well as occasional overnight assignments.
  • Investigate and analyze existing conditions or historic events in residential, commercial, industrial, and public venues.
  • You may be required to provide testimony in deposition and/or trial.

Qualifications

  • You must possess strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas to a wide audience.
  • You must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • The ideal candidate would have knowledge of, or experience in building sciences.
  • Must be a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
  • You must be able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
  • You must be able to perform with minimal oversight.
  • 4-year degree in a science or engineering field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong regulatory experience specific to Federal and/or state OSHA regulations.

The Salary Range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 and is dependent on education, experience, location and certifications/licensure.
