The Youth Engagement Specialist is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the On Ramp Resource Center which serves as a drop-in center for young adults 16-24 years of age. The Relatives On Ramp Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. The Youth Engagement Specialist serves on a team as the main point of contact for program participants and community members. The Youth Engagement Specialist's primary responsibility is to connect with, and be a support to, youth/young adults who come to On Ramp seeking assistance with housing, education, employment, health and safety and community navigation. This includes the following job functions, assisting with intake assessments, providing support and mentoring young adults in achievement their goals, managing daily workshops, and opening & monitoring participant use of the basic needs areas - the kitchen during meal times, the shower facility, and the laundry room.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School degree required. Two years' experience in the human service field, working with young adults is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office applications preferred.
