Purpose Of Job
- Communicate effectively with parents about the ministry.
- Create an atmosphere for acceptance and fellowship.
- Responsible for recruiting, training, and maintaining an adequate staff of youth volunteer leaders who will minister to and disciple students.
- Plan and direct youth fellowships, retreats, and mission trips, etc.
- Ensures there is always an environment that encourages spiritual growth.
- Develop a creative Biblical teaching ministry to include spending priority hours in lesson preparation each week.
- Develop relationships with kids each week as well as activities that encourage fellowship with each other.
- Responsible for the preparation and oversight of the Rock Nation budget.
- Regularly reviews and refreshes the worship experience for cultural relevance.
- Care for, spend time with and disciple youth and young adults.
- Under direction of the Lead Pastor and Chief of Staff, creates an engaging and exciting weekly worship experience for the Rock Nation partners.
- Actively make an effort to ensure the growth and health of the ministry.
- Responsible for the overall activities of Rock Nation.
- Provides functional and spiritual oversight and accountability to the 24/7 College & Young Adult partners.
- Provides pastoral guidance scripturally, in the fullness of Rock Nation Youth & 24/7 Young Adult partners.
- Acts on behalf of the church in pastoral leadership for our partners when needed.
- Organizes and recruits support volunteers for Rock Nation worship experiences and events.
- Partners closely with Lead Pastor, Staff Pastors and Chief of Staff to further develop, structure, and lead the tactical execution of the weekly Rock Nation worship experience.
- Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in Youth Leadership management in a church/ministry setting.
- Proficiency in organizational skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience working in a church of 1,500 or more in weekly attendance is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading in a church.
- Advance knowledge of Fellowship One is a plus.
- Experience leading and working with multiple teams of adult volunteers.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 required.
- Reflects a consistent personality of care and professionalism in all forms of contact with staff, guest, first time friends and partners.
- Ability to recruit, develop and place partners in meaningful roles in the church.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills required.
- Minimum two years related experience; nonprofit experience a plus.
- Self-motivated.
- Positive attitude.
- Approachable, friendly, and outgoing.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
